”The impact of Kaboom to the local businesses was record setting in 2008. We’re looking forward to having a great crowd again in 2009. Our annual goal is to make Kaboom one of the premier events on Pensacola Beach, says Doug McAllister, President of Fun Coast Promotions.” Special thanks goes out to our Title Sponsor---The Grand Marlin” a marina/restaurant/yacht brokerage that will be a crown jewel to the beach once it’s built at the foot of the Bob Sikes bridge. This year is the first year that Publix has been a co-title sponsor and we’re grateful for their support. The new Publix location in Gulf Breeze is wildly popular with beach goers. “We would also like to thank The Santa Rosa Island Authority and Mr. Buck Lee for their support and guidance. As in 2007-Escambia County has also been instrumental in helping provide funding. Without fireworks—many people would probably leave the beach and go to places where they could enjoy fireworks---crippling the beach businesses in the process. We’re proud to help facilitate this event and celebrate our nation’s birthday”, said Doug McAllister, President of Fun Coast Promotions.

“Our ultimate goal is to create memories for children, their families and the community that will be passed on generation to generation” says McAllister. “Make plans now---to be on the beach for America 's birthday and the highlight of the summer----Kaboom is going to be a blast!!!”
